Re-Fresh Friday: July 3, 2026

Before your holiday weekend, we've got some news to share!

On Monday the city council will consider a $52 million contract for a new public safety facility at the fairgrounds, as well as a development plan for the area surrounding the Petaluma North SMART transit station.

The meeting is set to begin at 5 p.m. on July 6 at 11 English St.

Also, we'd love to call your attention to some cool events for your summer calendar.

Of course there's Art Play Cafe's monthly Family Open Mic Night, happening every first Friday, which we wrote about in this week's issue.

The North Bay Get Down funk jam and dance party, which we covered in May, takes place every third Monday at the Big Easy.

Every Thursday afternoon, tune in to What's Happening Petaluma on our town's independent, community-run radio station, KPCA 103.3 FM (also streaming at KPCA.fm), to learn about upcoming events of all sorts and hear snippets of songs by bands playing soon at venues across Petaluma.

And don't forget to check out Petaluma Voice's very own events calendar, chock-full of ideas for summer fun.

Thanks for reading, have a great weekend, and look for our next issue on Wednesday, July 8.
