It's 11 days until Election Day, but voters are encouraged to vote early. The polling place at the Community Center at Lucchesi Park (320 N. McDowell Blvd.) will be open daily starting tomorrow, Oct. 24, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Stock photo)
With Nov. 3 drawing ever closer, we've stepped up our coverage to bring you a special Friday edition dedicated to the election.
First, you'll find a Petaluma ballot overview and reference guide containing helpful information about the many races and measures we're voting on this fall.
We also have two timely reports from the campaign trail that may help you make decisions as you complete your ballot.
One, the result of an extensive Petaluma Voice investigation, addresses and clarifies information about two very different restraining orders filed against candidates in this year's mayoral election.
The other deals with the Petaluma Federation of Teachers' recent endorsement of Sonoma County District 2 supervisor candidate Sylvia Lemus – and pushback, including a petition, from teachers and union members who favor her opponent, Joanna Paun.
Thanks, as always, for reading and supporting Petaluma Voice.
