Petaluma City Council will hold its next meeting on Monday, June 8. Here’s what’s on the agenda.
The meeting begins with a closed session at 5 p.m. to confer on labor negotiations.
After the closed session concludes, the regular meeting begins at 6 p.m.
To start out, the city will issue proclamations for Pride Month and National Gun Violence Awareness Month.
Next, the council will review the consent calendar – a series of items previously discussed and considered under a single vote – which includes a total of 17 items for Monday’s meeting.
The majority of the consent calendar’s items are tied to the upcoming 2026-27 fiscal year budget, which was discussed and approved at a prior meeting. Other items include accepting completion of a few projects (like accessibility improvements at the Petaluma Regional Library and a recoating of the Hardin Lane water tank), and giving the city manager the authority to move forward on a few ongoing projects.
The bulk of the meeting will be spent on public hearings and matters for consideration:
a resolution adopting the 2025 urban water management plan, which includes a 2025 water shortage contingency plan
a resolution authorizing the issuance of $70 million in bonds to fund projects tied to wastewater system improvements, which include the PIPS parallel force main and pump station replacement.
Last on the agenda, the city will hold a workshop for road safety and pavement improvement projects on Ely Boulevard South and Caulfield Lane.
